Mitesh began his legal career as an attorney with the international law ﬁrm of Bryan Cave, LLP (formerly Powell Goldstein, LLP), where he served in business transactions and securities. He began the MJ Patel Law Group in 2009, followed by the Patel Burkhalter Law Group in Atlanta, Georgia in 2011.

Mitesh is a proactive business advisor who enjoys practicing in business mergers, sales and acquisitions, private securities (fundraising for companies), partnership and corporate structuring, disputes within partnerships, governance (operating agreements and bylaws, stock options, and phantom stocks, to name a few), contracts, and outside general counsel representation.

Mitesh has a multi-faceted background that helps him see every situation from a variety of angles. His experience as a ﬁnancial planner, executive recruiter, ﬁreﬁghter and rescue technician, and ultimately an entrepreneur and business attorney all play into the unique vantage point he’s got when it comes to helping business owners.

While Mitesh hails from the quaint Appalachian town of Tazewell, Tennessee, he currently lives in Atlanta, Georgia with his wife, son, daughter, and dog. His time away from clients is enjoyed through high-intensity interval training, or exploring the outdoors through camping or roaming the mountains. When Mitesh isn’t on an outdoor adventure, he loves cooking and entertaining.
