About Mitesh
Mitesh Patel is the Principal and Founder of Blue Sky Law in Atlanta, Georgia. Mitesh, has a multi-faceted background as a financial analyst, executive recruiter, firefighter and rescue technician, and ultimately, entrepreneur and business attorney. When asked about this background, Mitesh replies, “I feel my varied background has given me an opportunity to see and experience different challenges, and perhaps some things that other typical corporate attorneys might not get to experience...that has definitely helped me to be a better problem solver for my clients”.
Mitesh began his legal career as an attorney with the international law firm of Bryan Cave, LLP (formerly Powell Goldstein, LLP), where he served in business transactions and securities, and later started the MJ Patel Law Group in 2009, the predecessor to the Patel Burkhalter Law Group in Atlanta, Georgia. Mitesh focuses on acting as a proactive business advisor to his clients and enjoys practicing in the areas of business mergers, sales and acquisitions, private securities (fundraising for companies), partnership and corporate structuring, partnership disputes, governance (operating agreements/bylaws, stock options, phantom stock, etc.), contracts and outside general counsel representation.
Mitesh is a member of the Georgia Bar, a board member for BBVA Compass Bank and has acted as a Board Member of the South Asian Bar Association. He graduated from the University of Tennessee with a BS in Finance (Summa Cum Laude) and received his JD from the University of Florida (High Honors). He originally hails from the quaint Appalachian town of Tazewell, TN and now resides in Atlanta, GA with his wife, son, daughter and dog. When not assisting his clients, Mitesh can be found roaming the mountains, camping, cooking, entertaining, and high intensity interval training.
